Privacy Policy

CoinStudy ("CoinStudy", "we", "us") operates the website at coinstudy.co, a research and educational platform that scores cryptocurrencies against the CoinStudy Halal Crypto Standard (HCS). This policy applies to the website, related sub-pages, and any services made available through them.

We try to keep data collection minimal. The categories below are everything we collect:

• Account data — for the small number of admin users, an email address and a hashed password. We do not offer public user accounts at this time.
• Form submissions — when you submit a certification application, an ambassador application, or contact us, we store the information you provide so we can respond to and process the request.
• Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs — our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp). These are used for security, abuse prevention, and basic analytics.
• Local progress data — when you check off airdrop tasks, your progress is stored in your browser's localStorage. We never transmit this to our servers.

• To operate the website, deliver requested content, and respond to applications and inquiries.
• To send the CoinStudy newsletter if you have opted in.
• To prevent abuse, debug errors, and improve performance.
• To meet legal or regulatory obligations where required.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for behavioural advertising.

CoinStudy uses a small number of cookies and browser-local storage entries that fall into two categories:

• Strictly necessary — admin session cookies, CSRF tokens, and similar items required for the platform to function.
• Functional — your airdrop task progress and similar UI state, stored in localStorage on your device.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may reset your airdrop progress.

We use a small set of third parties to run the platform. Each is bound by its own privacy policy:

• Hosting & CDN — to serve the website and protect against abuse.
• Email delivery — to send newsletter messages, certification status updates, and contact replies.
• Market data providers — to fetch live coin prices and metadata. These calls happen server-side and do not expose your IP to the provider.
• Payment processors — if you purchase a certification or featured listing package, payment details are handled directly by the processor; CoinStudy does not store full card numbers.

• Application data is kept for as long as needed to process and act on your application, plus a reasonable period for record-keeping.
• Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs are typically rotated within 30–90 days.
• On request, we will delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Object to certain processing or withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribing from the newsletter).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CoinStudy is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or by email where appropriate.
